Boaters, fishermen, and golfers can all enjoy this peaceful 400 acre island Park located one mile south of Lost Lodge. The Park is named for Civil War General Ambrose Burnside who led patrols on the Cumberland River around the island on the lookout for Confederate troops.
The Park has the distinction of being the only island within the Kentucky State Park system and offers a wonderful 3 boat wide launch ramp for our boating guests. It is designed to handle watercraft of all sizes. The launch is a short 10 minute ride to our boat dock.

The golf course at the Park underwent a 6 million dollar renovation completed in 2007. The 18 hole regulation course offers pro shop, pull and riding carts, as well as rental clubs. The course design incorporates the natural beauty of this unique setting located just minutes from your cabin at Lost Lodge.
