The cabins are equipped with a full kitchen which includes stove, fridge, toaster, coffee pot, microwave, utensils, cookware, eating ware and charcoal grill. Unless you need gourmet kitchen items, you have all you need to prepare meals. We also provide linens, garbage bags, bath tissue and a set up of towels and wash cloths. (See Lost Lodge Goes Green for detail on towels.) You will need to bring your own soaps and shampoos.
No, there are 2 boat ramps within a short distance of the Lodge. The Waitsboro Ramp is 1 mile north and the General Burnside Island State Park Ramp is 2.5 miles south.
All 19 of our cabins sit in a lovely 15 acre wooded area above Lake Cumberland. They are all under their own roof with a front porch, back deck or both for family fun. Each cabin also has an area with a picnic table, charcoal grill and a place to build an outdoor fire.
Yes. We are across the street from” restaurant row” in Burnside, Ky. These 5 restaurants as well as Lee’s Ford Harbor Restaurant located 15 minutes by road or water from Lost Lodge, have the only full menu and full bar options on all of Lake Cumberland.
We are located 3 miles south of Kroger and Walmart.
We require a security deposit on all cabin rentals. It can be mailed or put on a credit card. The deposit is to be paid within 10 days or so of when you reserve your cabin. Deposits are refunded within 10 business days of departure if the cabin is left in good shape. We ask that you don’t smoke inside the cabin, do your dishes and in general leave the cabin as you found it. Please see our Rental Policies for more information.
Yes! Wireless internet is available throughout the cabin grounds. In case you want to check email, get some work done (heaven forbid) or tell your friends what a great time you are having at the Lake!
We are located 4 miles south of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, one of southern Kentucky’s outstanding health care facilities. There is also an Urgent Treatment Center located 4.5 miles to the north.
You can if you like, or we sell wood at the office. We cut some of our own wood, but mostly we buy from the Children’s Home located nearby and simply charge enough to cover our cost so that having a nightly fire isn’t a big expense.
We can make arrangements to get you in your cabin anytime after 3 pm, and yes we will leave the light on for you! We ask that you depart before 11 am. We would appreciate it if our guests do not show up for early check in before 3pm EST. We have an 11am check out and it is not possible to have the cabins ready and to our standards unless we have the allotted time to clean.
We ask that you do not leave your pet in the cabin without you during your stay. If you can crate or kennel your animal and are 100% sure they will not bark or disturb your neighbors, we are OK with that. We also ask that pets do not get on fabric item inside the cabin like couches, bedding etc., where pet hair and odor will remain. Outdoors, pets must be on a leash under your hand control. We charge a $35.00 – $75.00 non-refundable flat rate per stay for animals depending on the type of animal, breed and weight. Please see our Rental Policies for more information.
Yes. We have a playground located in the middle of the Resort that is visible from the majority of our cabins so Mom and Dad can relax while keeping an eye on the kids.
Yes. We have a designated swim area in the Lake.
We recommend you reserve your cabin for dates that fall between Memorial and Labor Day as early in the year as possible. We tend to fill up for July first then Holidays. Just give us a call and we can help you decide which cabin would be best for your vacation needs.
Yes, we have cabins that are completely accessible with ramps and some that are partially accessible with only one step.
We are ideally located just minutes from 3 Marinas. The Daniel Boone National Forest begins just to the south of the Resort where you can hike, white water raft, canoe or just enjoy Kentucky’s natural beauty.
